Gather & Glean Homestead Mentorship Circle
"Being a part of Gather and Glean was very helpful for me at this stage in my homesteading journey. It not only connected me with like-minded women but also helped me hold myself accountable to a time-bound project.Rachel Y.
Over the course of Gather and Glean, I was able to substantially finish my project, thanks to Teri's insight and creative feedback. Since completing Gather and Glean, I have more than doubled my family's food production. We now have over 2,000 square feet of edibles growing - most of it year-round through perennials and succession planting of annuals. Gather and Glean absolutely helped make this possible. Thank you!"
"I consider Gather & Glean to be an excellent and focused source of community and wellbeing. Initially, I expected to have a crash-course, workshop-style tour of all things "homestead" (an exhaustive list of topics, to be sure). During the initial calls, however, I was introduced to ideas that were slower-paced, but actually more necessary than my own conceptions! We got to the root of our values, goals, innermost truths -- and that core is entirely where all things should start!Sigourney C.
Gather & Glean has produced a beautiful community of kindred women from across the spectrum of the homestead journey. I consider the efforts and opportunity for growth inspired by this program to be of utmost value in my own journey. I hope for this vision to carry on long past the final call, and spill into our communities wherever we set out roots."
Frequently Asked Questions
How much time should I plan to devote to Gather & Glean?
Participants find that the more time they invest into Gather & Glean, the more they get out of it, but the Circle is set up so you can fit participation into your schedule. Our group coaching calls will be one hour long, every other week, and will be recorded if you can’t make the live calls. Each week you will receive a PDF, video, or audio with inspiration, exercises, and ideas, and I recommend setting aside a half hour each week to journal, vision, and plan.
Our Facebook group is a safe and fun place to ask questions, share joys and struggles, and create community, so I suggest checking in each day. We’ll also each be working on a project of our own choosing; this can be as elaborate or as simple as you desire, but the goal is for you to make strides forward with your goals and dreams.
What is the Gather & Glean community like?
The Gather & Glean community is an inspiring, beautiful, and diverse group of women who hail from different countries and backgrounds. We are unified by a passion for homesteading and simple living, and a desire to be deeply supported to and to join together in community.
We connect via a private Facebook group and in bi-weekly video coaching calls. The Facebook groups remain open after the 10 weeks end, and these intimate groups are often the first place the Gather & Glean participants head when they want to share something in their lives.
Can I join if I'm not already a homesteader?
Absolutely! Wherever you are on your homesteading path – whether you’re deep in, or someday-dreaming, you are welcome!
I'm not a group person. Are there any other ways for us to work together?
Yes! I offer several options for one-on-one coaching. Feel free to check out my Coaching page, or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can chat!
